Spring 2026 – Self-Employment Cohort Announcement

PVA’s Veteran Career Program (VCP) will be re-launching its 10-week Self-employment Program beginning on March 25th, 2026, to provide training, counseling, and access to capital to PVA Members and/or their spouses, adult children and/or caregivers (in teams or individually) who are considering self-employment. We are looking for 15 participants who are thinking about, but have not yet started, a for-profit small business. Two $2,500 grants will be awarded!

Program Schedule:

Applications open: Monday, March 2nd, 2026 at 9:00 am ET
Applications close: Friday, March 13th, 2026 at 1:00 pm ET
Selected participants notified: Monday, March 16th
Classes begin / Zoom: Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at 7:00 pm ET (6:00 pm CT | 5:00 pm MT | 4:00 pm PT)
Final class “Pitch Night”: Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00 pm ET (6:00 pm CT | 5:00 pm MT | 4:00 pm PT)
